QAPC Reads

Once every couple of months, we pick a book to read as a congregation for anyone who is interested.  On a chosen date, we meet at a local bar or restaurant to have a discussion about the book in its own right and how it might connect with or challenge us in our lives as disciples of Christ.

In the past, we have read such books as, The Undertaking, by Thomas Lynch, The Worst Hard Time, by Timothy Egan, Olive Kitteridge, by Elizabeth Strout., and The Trouble with Poetry and Other Poems, by Billy Collins.

Annual Pool Party

Every summer, we pick a Sunday afternoon and meet at the View Ridge Swim & Tennis Club. Many swim, some just enjoy the company and sunshine, all partake of food and beverages.

THEOLOGY ON TAP

Join us at Targy's Tavern (Corner of 6th Ave W & Crockett St) at 7:00pm on the 4th Monday of every month for an open discussion about faith, belief, and life. This time is open to everyone and anyone: come by, have a beer and discuss the meaning of life.

Caroling Party

On a December evening just before Christmas, we gather to sing carols.  Young and old join in and neighbors are delighted.  After singing, we gather at a nearby member's home for appetizers, drinks, and deserts.  It is always a lovely event.
