WHEEL

WHEEL stands for Women’s Housing Equality and Enhancement League. WHEEL is a non-profit and non-hierarchical group of homeless and formerly homeless women working on ending homelessness for women in Seattle and King County.

Packing Parties for Homeless Women

Twice a quarter after worship, our congregation gets together in the Gathering Place to pack kits for the homeless women at the WHEEL shelters. Our kits contain either, new underwear or numerous hygiene items, or non-perishable snacks for their smallest over-night shelter. In December our congregation puts together a special holiday gift packing party based on a curated wish list provided by the coordinators of the WHEEL shelters. These packing parties aim to restore some dignity to homeless women and provide support in areas that are needed the most but sometimes overlooked; you are welcome to join us!
